Description:

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Communities in Schools of Benton-Franklin! CISBF has been serving in the Tri-Cities for eight years. We started as a small staff serving in just a couple of schools, but we have experienced a lot of growth. We have Student Support Coordinators (SSCs) in 41 schools and 5 Districts from Prosser to Finley and the three Districts in the Tri-Cities. Our SSC’s serve as the community resource hub helping students, staff, and families to find access to community resources that range from housing assistance to food, clothing, and hygiene and school supply support. They also provide social-emotional support in the schools that ranges anywhere from attendance and behavior encouragement to affinity groups.

Our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
