Description:

The Jewish Youth Climate Movement, founded in 2019 by Hazon, is a Gen Z-led movement dedicated to combating climate change and environmental injustice from a Jewish lens. Our goal is to make taking collective action towards climate justice a central, defining feature of what it means to be Jewish over the next decade, empowering the next generation of Jewish youth to be leaders in our fight to build a sustainable and equitable world for all. Check out our website.

Kvutzot, local chapters, are the heart and soul of our movement. We currently have a network of nearly 50 Kvutzot nationwide, who engage in teen-led Jewish climate justice programming, projects, and actions in a range of communities, such as Jewish Day Schools, Synagogues, and JCC’s. Our local chapters tap into JYCM resources, including dozens of toolkits and trainings, to help lead their communities towards lasting change. We have a group of Kvutzot across New York City who are doing programming and projects together, and we would love to bring B’nai Torah into the cohort.

To begin the processes of forming a Kvutzah, fill out the Kvutzah Inquiry Form here!
