Description:
Safe Parking LA provides secure overnight parking for individuals and families experiencing vehicular homelessness while offering case management and resources to help them transition into stable housing. By employing underutilized parking lots, we address a critical gap in homeless services in LA County.
Here are a few ways students can get involved:
  • Organizing in-kind donation drives (hygiene products, laundry detergent, pillows, etc.). I’ve attached our full in-kind donation list as a PDF for reference.
  • Leading donation campaigns
  • Writing encouraging notes
  • Baking birthday cakes for participants
  • Providing meals at our lots
There’s a lot of potential and flexibility in how students can engage, so I’m happy to explore ideas that fit their interests.
