MANNA uses nutrition to improve health for people with serious illnesses who need nourishment to heal. By providing medically tailored meals and nutrition education, we empower people to improve their health and quality of life.
Students Can: While we’d love to have your B’nai Mitzvah students join us in the kitchen, our minimum age to volunteer in the kitchen is 14. What I could offer is to have your students ride along with their chaperones for deliveries. Volunteer delivery drivers are the final step of the MANNA experience, delivering meals to MANNA clients’ homes. Drivers typically deliver around 4 meals to clients. The routes are well mapped out and concentrated in a neighborhood or small area, so routes generally do not take longer than an hour or two. Deliveries occur Tuesday-Friday of each week and drivers can collect their meals at MANNA any time between 8 am and noon.
