Dedicated to the timeless principle to “love your neighbor as yourself” and located in one of L.A.’s most diverse and economically challenged neighborhoods, the Pico Union Project is a vibrant community center that strives to love its neighbors through inviting, innovative programs that feed the mind, body and soul. Whether with weekly distribution of free fresh produce, mentoring high school students, planting gardens and trees, providing art programs, conducting multi-faith services, presenting world-class concerts or assisting homeless neighbors, the Project is committed to be a source of light for all.

Students can: Fridays 10:30 am – 12:00 pm Come volunteer at our weekly Vida Sana Farmers Market and help out with the activities, workshops, and produce distribution. All are welcome. 8:00 AM call time for all volunteers!

Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them.

We started extending help to needy children and youth who were eager to study and work for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter and education. Our team expanded and we spread out in different regions to make sure we cover all possible areas and help as many children as possible.

We now run shelter homes, schools and a reasonable mess that helps such needy young people. We also have our helpline offices spread throughout the country so one can approach us anytime they need help.

Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training, or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we will make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.

We want to build a world where no child or youth feels alone and gets every possible help they need as soon as possible.

Our entire team wants to see a world where every youngster struggling in any way feels able to reach out and has people who’ll help them with education, jobs, and more. We want to spread out in every region so we’ll be reachable to all.
