PAWS is people helping cats, dogs and wild animals go home and thrive – whether home is the family room or the forest. We do this by rehabilitating orphaned and injured wildlife, sheltering and adopting homeless cats and dogs, and educating the community to inspire compassionate action for animals.

Currently, there are no volunteering opportunities for students under the age of 16 in person. However, they do have a variety of youth project ideas to help PAWS animals. They are especially in need of rope toys and cardboard cat scratchers. You can find more about those on our website under youth projects.

The pre-teen education program takes place during the summer, but our Heroic Animal Helpers program is a single in person workshop geared towards youth aged 11-13. In this program, participants learn how we can help animals and how animals help us!

Completing a service project is a great way to support the lifesaving work at PAWS while empowering kids to make a difference and fostering their natural compassion for animals. Contact us at education@paws.org if you are interested in completing a youth project and we can discuss how we may be able to support you. Students under the age of 16 may not volunteer directly with the animals.

Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them.

We started extending help to needy children and youth who were eager to study and work for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter and education. Our team expanded and we spread out in different regions to make sure we cover all possible areas and help as many children as possible.

We now run shelter homes, schools and a reasonable mess that helps such needy young people. We also have our helpline offices spread throughout the country so one can approach us anytime they need help.

Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training, or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we will make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.

We want to build a world where no child or youth feels alone and gets every possible help they need as soon as possible.

Our entire team wants to see a world where every youngster struggling in any way feels able to reach out and has people who’ll help them with education, jobs, and more. We want to spread out in every region so we’ll be reachable to all.
