Description:

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Communities in Schools of Benton-Franklin! CISBF has been serving in the Tri-Cities for eight years. We started as a small staff serving in just a couple of schools, but we have experienced a lot of growth. We have Student Support Coordinators (SSCs) in 41 schools and 5 Districts from Prosser to Finley and the three Districts in the Tri-Cities. Our SSC's serve as the community resource hub helping students, staff, and families to find access to community resources that range from housing assistance to food, clothing, and hygiene and school supply support. They also provide social-emotional support in the schools that ranges anywhere from attendance and behavior encouragement to affinity groups.

Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them.

We started extending help to needy children and youth who were eager to study and work for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter and education. Our team expanded and we spread out in different regions to make sure we cover all possible areas and help as many children as possible.

We now run shelter homes, schools and a reasonable mess that helps such needy young people. We also have our helpline offices spread throughout the country so one can approach us anytime they need help.

Our approach

Our Mission
Our mission is to make sure all young people and children get all the support they need, when they need it, no matter what it is.

Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training, or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we will make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.

Our Vision
We want to build a world where no child or youth feels alone and gets every possible help they need as soon as possible.
Our entire team wants to see a world where every youngster struggling in any way feels able to reach out and has people who’ll help them with education, jobs, and more. We want to spread out in every region so we’ll be reachable to all.
