Description:

The Wheel House Community Bike Shop co-op is a center for all cyclists and bike riders, but welcome those who may have an interest in starting to bike, getting back into cycling, or are looking for biking as a means of transportation. Everyone is welcome with a goal of inclusiveness and reflecting our diverse community.

Wheelhouse Community Bike Shop’s goals are to expand bicycle usage and knowledge by providing public access to educational materials, workspace, and tools/parts through a member owned and supported central location, and invite the community to Learn, Repair, and Ride.

Volunteer opportunities are focused on refurbishing bikes to be donated to people in need. We do allow teens to volunteer, but they need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We have some non-mechanical tasks that tweens and teens could perform (e.g. cleaning bikes), but for the most part, there is a degree of training that is needed and the students need close supervision to stay on task.

Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them.

We started extending help to needy children and youth who were eager to study and work for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter and education. Our team expanded and we spread out in different regions to make sure we cover all possible areas and help as many children as possible.

We now run shelter homes, schools and a reasonable mess that helps such needy young people. We also have our helpline offices spread throughout the country so one can approach us anytime they need help.

Our approach

Our Mission
Our mission is to make sure all young people and children get all the support they need, when they need it, no matter what it is.

Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training, or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we will make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.

Our Vision
We want to build a world where no child or youth feels alone and gets every possible help they need as soon as possible.
Our entire team wants to see a world where every youngster struggling in any way feels able to reach out and has people who’ll help them with education, jobs, and more. We want to spread out in every region so we’ll be reachable to all.
