Description:

Thrive Food Bank is a Los Angeles County food bank that provides free farmer’s markets which offer fresh locally sourced fruits and vegetables to food insecure populations.

Our holistic approach to food insecurity takes a long term view of physical, mental and planetary health, all of which are benefited from a move towards a vegetarian diet.

Regular volunteer opportunities occur on Fridays and Sundays. If you are interested in opportunities outside of those times, email Elianna Friedman, eliannafriedman@thrive.charity.

FREE Farmers Market with Together We Thrive Food Bank

1. Volunteer at our Friday Markets. Help hand out fresh produce to the community.

Produce Gleaning with Together We Thrive Food Bank

1. Volunteer at the Porter Ranch Farmers Market collecting food and the end of the market preventing food waste.

Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them.

We started extending help to needy children and youth who were eager to study and work for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter and education. Our team expanded and we spread out in different regions to make sure we cover all possible areas and help as many children as possible.

We now run shelter homes, schools and a reasonable mess that helps such needy young people. We also have our helpline offices spread throughout the country so one can approach us anytime they need help.

Our mission is to make sure all young people and children get all the support they need, when they need it, no matter what it is.

Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training, or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we will make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.

Our Vision

We want to build a world where no child or youth feels alone and gets every possible help they need as soon as possible.

Our entire team wants to see a world where every youngster struggling in any way feels able to reach out and has people who’ll help them with education, jobs, and more. We want to spread out in every region so we’ll be reachable to all.
