- Cohorts: Cohorts are a way for white-identifying people to deepen community by building a shared analysis and helping each other stay supported and accountable in our anti-racist actions. Each session includes readings/videos, discussions, and actions to take together. ypically, the cohorts begin in January and consist of a 2-hour session every other week (8 sessions total), with 30-60 minutes of reading/viewing material in between sessions.
- Abolition Solidarity Group: The Abolition Solidarity Group (ASG) is a group within CARW that has been meeting since May 2021 and works toward a world without police, prisons, or borders in solidarity with a range of BIPOC-led groups, including Freedom Project and Creative Justice. We do a broad range of abolition work, from advocating for policies that reduce the criminal punishment system to mutual aid to education/deep canvassing in our own communities.
- Migrant Justice Solidarity Group: The Migrant Justice Solidarity Group (MJSG) is a group within CARW that works for migrant and immigration justice through the lens of racial justice and abolition. We partner with La Resistencia, a group led by those most impacted by immigrant detention, whose goal is to shut down the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma, and end all detention and deportation in WA.
