AMIT provides an innovative, Jewish values-based education to more than 40,000 children in Israel each year. AMIT welcomes every child and levels the playing field for the children of Israel through education.
AMIT has had a transformative impact on the Israeli educational landscape that extends far beyond its schools and students. Founded in 1925, AMIT educates more than 40,000 children in 88 schools, youth villages, surrogate family residences and other programs in 29 cities, constituting Israel’s only government-recognized network of religious Jewish education incorporating academic and technological studies.
Two-thirds of AMIT students come from disadvantaged backgrounds. AMIT enables them to dream big by substantially reducing opportunity gaps and leveling the playing field by providing the highest quality education, innovative programming, additional tutoring, emotional support, therapy programs, and encouraging personal growth.
Involvement is mainly provided through financial support. However, special events may come up during holiday seasons where the local AMIT office could use your help.
