Description:

For 25 years, we have helped empower New York City women in need to enter the workforce and achieve success. Through our one-on-one attention, we provide them with the tools and resources they need to get back on their feet. Two decades on from when we were founded, our services are needed today more than ever.

For volunteers interested in organizing clothing drives for us, please contact Elizabeth to keep track of actual and anticipated clothing inventory. Students must have support from an adult outside of Bottomless Closet. Below is some general information for clothing drives:

We accept new or gently worn:

Women’s Professional Business Clothing (no casual, jeans, t-shirts, no hangers) – plus sizes are our area of highest demand
Sensible, flat shoes, flat (no high heels or sneakers )
Business appropriate handbags (prefer large enough to fit a resume folder)
Jewelry, scarves and accessories

Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them.

We started extending help to needy children and youth who were eager to study and work for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter and education. Our team expanded and we spread out in different regions to make sure we cover all possible areas and help as many children as possible.

We now run shelter homes, schools and a reasonable mess that helps such needy young people. We also have our helpline offices spread throughout the country so one can approach us anytime they need help.

Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training, or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we will make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.

Our Vision

We want to build a world where no child or youth feels alone and gets every possible help they need as soon as possible.

Our entire team wants to see a world where every youngster struggling in any way feels able to reach out and has people who’ll help them with education, jobs, and more. We want to spread out in every region so we’ll be reachable to all.
