The opportunities for community service hours or just make a difference in your city are numerous, and the rewards are countless.
Need Community Service Hours? Get your service hours at a Broward County Library, where you can make new friends and have a good time, all while you fulfill your school requirements! Volunteering is also a great way to get real-life work experience, enhance your résumé, and give a boost to your college applications.
If you’re interested in honing your leadership skills, you can join our Teen Advisory Board. Almost every Broward County Library location has one, and they provide valuable input on teen programs and events as well as the selection of books and other materials.
Requirements for Teen Volunteers:
- Ages 12-18
- TEEN MUST SIGN UP IN PERSON
- Must bring photo ID (school ID, passport, state ID card, or driver’s license)
- Must attend a library branch Volunteer Orientation
To fast track your involvement, just stop by any branch library and see a Youth Services Librarian for details or email libraryvolunteers@broward.org.
Volunteer opportunities are based on the needs of each branch library.
