Description:

We welcome volunteers who share a commitment to DWC’s core values and invite you to join us in our mission to end homelessness in Los Angeles. Volunteers are integral to this work!

Volunteers under the age of 18 can get invovled in the following ways:

Snack Packs are essential to the women we serve at DWC. They allow us to ensure that participants have a nutritious snack or meal to take with them before leaving the Day Center each afternoon. You can review our Snack Pack guidelines here.

Availability:

We accept scheduled snack packs daily between 1:00 – 1:30pm.

Toiletry Kits are essential to the women we serve at DWC. Our Day Center provides daily access to showers for women experiencing homelessness, making Toiletry Kits an everyday need for the women we serve. You can review our Toiletry Kit guidelines here.

Availability:

We accept scheduled Toiletry Kits Monday – Friday between 8:00am to 1:00pm.

Clean Home Kits provide DWC residents with essential cleaning supplies as they move from homelessness into housing. Your thoughtful contribution will help these women create a safe space that they can call home. You can review our Clean Home Kit guidelines here.

We accept Clean Home Kits Monday – Friday between 8:00am to 1:00pm.

Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them.

We started extending help to needy children and youth who were eager to study and work for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter and education. Our team expanded and we spread out in different regions to make sure we cover all possible areas and help as many children as possible.

We now run shelter homes, schools and a reasonable mess that helps such needy young people. We also have our helpline offices spread throughout the country so one can approach us anytime they need help.

Our mission is to make sure all young people and children get all the support they need, when they need it, no matter what it is.

Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training, or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we will make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.

Our Vision

We want to build a world where no child or youth feels alone and gets every possible help they need as soon as possible.

Our entire team wants to see a world where every youngster struggling in any way feels able to reach out and has people who’ll help them with education, jobs, and more. We want to spread out in every region so we’ll be reachable to all.
