Description:

For 50 years, St. Francis Center has been fulfilling our mission to feed, serve, and walk with the poor as a community of hope in the spirit of Saint Francis of Assisi.

Volunteers play a vital role in supporting every aspect of SFC’s daily operations, from working directly with unhoused and extremely low-income program guests, to helping organize donations of food and clothing, and even providing administrative assistance.

SFC volunteers gain firsthand experience of the challenges our community faces every day. We encourage volunteers to take this opportunity to build relationships with our guests, staff, and fellow volunteers.

It’s a chance to take a moment to reflect on current community issues and to help SFC in our mission of serving hope to anyone in need.

Children under the age of 14 must volunteer with an adult. Volunteering occurs Monday through Saturday.

Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them.

We started extending help to needy children and youth who were eager to study and work for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter and education. Our team expanded and we spread out in different regions to make sure we cover all possible areas and help as many children as possible.

We now run shelter homes, schools and a reasonable mess that helps such needy young people. We also have our helpline offices spread throughout the country so one can approach us anytime they need help.

Our mission is to make sure all young people and children get all the support they need, when they need it, no matter what it is.

Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training, or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we will make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.

Our Vision

We want to build a world where no child or youth feels alone and gets every possible help they need as soon as possible.

Our entire team wants to see a world where every youngster struggling in any way feels able to reach out and has people who’ll help them with education, jobs, and more. We want to spread out in every region so we’ll be reachable to all.
