The purpose of the Broward County Animal Care Volunteer Program is to bring people together with a common goal of improving the lives of animals at our shelter. Our four pillars of service include Community Animal Care, Equitable Services, Public Safety, and World-Class Shelter Operations.
Youth Volunteering and Community Service Hours (for youth under age 16)
Youth under 16 years are ineligible to volunteer, however, interested youth can still help our shelter pets by hosting a donation drive or fundraiser to benefit the animals. Youth under 16 can also earn community service hours by fostering a shelter pet through our Foster program. Check out our Foster Page for more information on fostering and how you and your family can sign up to save a life!
