Description:

Our mission is to assist the Jewish needy of Los Angeles by providing a variety of family services with the utmost level of dignity and discretion.

Our programs help those without work find jobs, start businesses & earn livelihoods. They provide clothing and furniture, assist with utilities & rent in emergency situations, help children obtain Jewish educations and direct those in need to the proper social service organizations. On a weekly basis we provide food for the week, Shabbat and the holidays. This weekly support restores spirits and allows the Sabbath to work its healing magic on families in need.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

If you would like to join us with packing food boxes for families in need, please join us at the warehouse on Thursday evenings from 5:30 PM. We have two locations: 8761 West Pico Blvd, Los Angeles 90035 or 12405 Sylvan Street, North Hollywood 91606. Email info@tomcheila.org for more information.

Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them.

We started extending help to needy children and youth who were eager to study and work for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter and education. Our team expanded and we spread out in different regions to make sure we cover all possible areas and help as many children as possible.

We now run shelter homes, schools and a reasonable mess that helps such needy young people. We also have our helpline offices spread throughout the country so one can approach us anytime they need help.

Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training, or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we will make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.

We want to build a world where no child or youth feels alone and gets every possible help they need as soon as possible.

Our entire team wants to see a world where every youngster struggling in any way feels able to reach out and has people who’ll help them with education, jobs, and more. We want to spread out in every region so we’ll be reachable to all.
