BCS works in neighborhoods impacted by systemic poverty. We believe all Brooklynites should have the resources, education, opportunities, and safety they need to thrive.
Opportunities to get involved may be seasonal.
Coney Island Sculpting Contest (Annual in August)
- This is an all-day event where students can volunteer to support the vendors and pass out water bottles to contestants.
Toy Drive (Annual in December)
- Host or join a "wrapping" party
- Collect toys, arts and crafts sets, and gifts
Winter Gear and Hygiene Kits (As needed throughout the year)
- Collect winter gear, such as coats, gloves, sleeping bags, and more
- Collect items to create hygiene kits for those experiencing homelessness
